A real home from home. Very comfortable, spotlessly clean and all you could need for a lovely relaxing break. Benita was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Will be our chosen place to stay if we visit Whitby in the future.

There’s so much to see just by wandering around. Rusty shears is lovely for breakfast and quayside for a posh chippy experience.

The apartment is in a perfect location, clean, and has everything you need. Staff and friendly and helpful. We stayed on the top floor, which was perfect for us but would be difficult if you struggle with stairs, so bare that in mind. A short walk to the beach and plenty to do.

Pizza west is just round the corner and does excellent pizza.

We loved our stay in apartment 4 at Fayvan Apartments. We have stayed in Whitby over New Year for the past 4 years and this was by far the most comfortable and cosy apartment we've stayed in. The space was a good size for two, spotlessly clean and had everything you needed including a full kitchen with all utensils, extra blankets, a clothes rack and washing machine (situated two flights of stairs below). Benita was incredibly kind and helpful and had even decorated our flat for Christmas. We would absolutely stay again.

Apartment 4 is up several flights of relatively narrow stairs, so not for the faint of heart - but it's worth it for the flat and views across the Royal Crescent and to the sea. The location is perfect - away from the main hussle and bussle but only a few minutes walk down into the harbour.

We had a wonderful week staying here and can’t fault our stay. Very friendly owners and would definitely stay again.

Lots to see and do. Trenchers fish and chips were the best I’ve ever had even better than the Magpie. If you get a chance Eden Camp (a WW2 museum) is only a short drive away and well worth a visit. Goathland is also worth visiting.

we had a lovely stay, the apartment is well equipt but we would book a lower level apartment, we where in number 4 but this is on the sixth floor, no lift and we are not very fit.

Another amazing stay. The property is immaculate and functional with everything you could need during a stay in Whitby. Benita is a great host and always ensures we are settled and happy. We will definitely be back to Fayvan, it has become a family favourite!

Walk the Cinder path to Robin Hood's Bay. Monk's Haven cafe does an amazing breakfast. Fisherman's Wife has beautiful sunset views to enjoy delicious food.

We have now stayed at Fayvan for a few years, and the standard of service and cleanliness are excellent, Benita and Mick are the most welcoming couple you could hope for. My husband is not very mobile and both of them helped with our bags. Benita clearly loves well-behaved children, and my Granddaughter loves taling to her. We have booked for the same time next year. Love this place

Having a young granddaughter we eat where she likes, she lives Humble Pie the pie and mash shop, Emma's American Diner and of course Fish and chips. Mr chips restaurant is good and is fog friendly

This is our second stay at Fayvan apartments and won’t be our last! The apartment was beautifully decorated, with views to the sea. It was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need! The hosts Benita and Mike are lovely, so helpful and friendly. We don’t want to go home it was that nice!

Fayvan is situated close to all amenities. There are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and attractions within walking distance. Clara’s is perfect for coffee or ice cream overlooking the sea and The Magpie has the best fish and chips in Whitby!

Friendly and helpful owners, flat lively and clean and well appointed.

Flat is ideal for the town but Whiby is hilly and apartment floor is a long way up without a lift, so pack light!

We stayed Sunday to Thursday and had a great stay. The apartment was in a fabulous location on top of the hill, with lovely views. The apartment itself was immaculately clean and very comfortable, with everything we needed. The only downside was the stairs up to our room, but that wouldn't stop us from staying here again. We would highly recommend staying here.

The location is on top of the hill, so it's away from all the hustle and bustle. The town is only a short walk away, and the leisure centre is literally round the corner. There's a fantastic place to eat up there, called Pizza West, but you need to book in advance. There's a lot of steep hills/steps, so be prepared, but it's worth it!

We have stayed at Fayvan on numerous occasions, and every stay without doubt was as good as the last, the owners are excellent hosts and do everything in their power to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. This apartment as everything you need in the kitchen and of course a great view of the harbour from the bay window

We visited a few local restaurants including Sara's at Mr Chips, Pie and Mash shop and Emma's American Diner. Emma's do an excellent breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays.

A clean and spacious flat no.4. Very comfortable bed with bunks and a fold down bed that would accommodate a family. On arrival from a long journey so good to have basics like some milk, tea etc already there. Very well appointed with saucepans, cooking utensils, cutlery, tea towels, bath towels etc. Very helpful landlord and landlady.

Well located for the Spa Pavilion where many events take place. Short walk to shops. very near West Cliff with its lovely views out to sea. The flat we stayed in is on fourth floor (72 steps) so pack in several smaller bags/cases and pace yourself going up stairs.

Benita and Mike are always welcoming - it’s like visiting family! Nothing is too much trouble - whether it’s helping move luggage, fix an issue with curtains or TV problems! The facilities in the apartment is just what’s needed - plenty of cutlery & crockery, space for your own items, a decent iron and ironing board, clean bedding, towels replaced mid-week - everything is provided for a comfortable holiday.

Recommend Fisherman’s Wife for quality fish dishes, Cafe Montmartre for tasty cocktails (they hadn’t opened the kitchen at the time of our stay), The Blitz for good tapas, The Quirky Den for a friendly micro pub (cash only) plus The Waiting Room for another (card only). Also, The Fleece is good pub and, being on the other side of the harbour and away from all the shops, it gives you some respite from the busy-ness of Whitby. We drove to Robin Hoods Bay to pick up the Cinder Track through to Ravenscar and then walked back along The Cleveland Way. If you time it right you can even walk part of the way on the beach! We also went on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway - stopping off at Goathland though it does go all the way to Pickering. Highly recommend the train experience (you could be lucky to get a steam engine!) and also a visit to Goathland, especially if you like Heartbeat.

Very spacious apartment with good views and easy access to all the local amenities. The apartment had everything we could ever ask for, for a stay by the sea, and more besides. The bed was very comfortable,and the heating was very good, although not really required at the time of our stay. For those needing it, the wi-fi was excellent , good 70mb signal throughout our apartment. Overall, would highly recommend to others and would more than happily stay here again!

Love these apartments, second time here and both times in apartment 4. Has everything you need and more. Very comfortable for 5 of us. Would never stay anywhere else in Whitby. Super location too.

Loved the Captain Cook Museum, Cocktails at moon and sixpence. Just created some mocktails for the kids what flavours they like! Brilliant. Walking the sculpture trail to find all the amazing wire sculptures. Fish and chips at Trenchers was fantastic.

Lovely apartment with beautiful views of the sea. Benita, the owner, is very nice and helpful and makes you feel at home.

Book all restaurants well in advance as the combination of Covid and Brexit has caused a lack of staff. Lots of nice restaurants with great seafood: Abbey Wharf, The Fisherman's Wife, Magpie Cafe. It's worth paying to go into the Abbey for the views alone. Good walks from the Moorland Centre near Danby and Robin Hood's Bay is a delight.

This was our first time trying a self catering facility. We have historically been hotel stayers. But been absolutely and pleasantly so surprised. Benita is clearly doing a wonderful job in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, while providing an excellent apartment to travellers. The whole place looks immaculately clean, with light colour schemes, adequate light and storage, plenty of good space for a family and above all, the kitchen comes with literally everything! I was surprised to find all sorts of kitchen utensils and literally there was nothing I could think of, that could have been needed. Really comfy and cosy place and such excellent t access to the beach!

This place is next to the each guys. So perhaps with frequent visits to the pier and the coastal path, once you return, you'd want a decent shower or bath. I would recommend bringing own toiletries as though a soap bar, shampoo and body wash are provided, it might not last a long stay. Otherwise, you don't need to bring anything. The good apartments come with literally everything in there you'd need for self catering.

It really is impossible to find fault or be critical of this establishment. We recently had a 2 night break here and we found the precautions to safeguard against covid were exceptional. The owners have done everything to make staying here a delight and our apartment was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I would highly recommend Fayvan apartments for anyone visiting Whitby.

Moutreys Italian restaurant just over the swing bridge is very good. Sandsend is beautiful. And if you ever want to get out of town the Esk Valley is stunning.

We were very lucky to be able to park outside the property but there is also a car park . The centre of Whitby is a nice walk away . Anytime we stay in Whitby it will be at the Fayvan Apartments

Trenchers and Magpie restaurants are really good but expect a bit of a wait for a table at times.

Loved our stay. Warm welcome by the owner. Very clean and spacious apartments, equipped with everything you need.They have taken great care of the place with updated decor and safety measures put in place. Great location on the west cliff. Very quiet and peaceful. Will definitely be back.

We don't drive and used the local transport to go on days out there's plenty of locations to visit on the coastliner. The ghost walk on the west cliff is good. You must visit the Badgers Hound pub in Hinderwell, we had Sunday lunch it was lovely, but i would suggest booking a table. The Smugglers cave in Robin Hoods Bay is a lovely little pub. Great Breakfast in the Singing Kettle cafe at the side of the Angel Inn.

Can not recommend this place highly enough! We have just visited with the children and the apartments had everything we could ever need and more. Perfect location. We timed 5 mins and we were on the beach. The apartment was clean and spacious, even fresh flowers. The kitchen had everything, if you have a longer stay or wish you cater for yourself. Also, great for babies as there was even a blender, microwave, high chair, the lot. Benita was on hand should you need anything at all. We will defiantly be rebooking you stay here again and bringing the whole family.

5 mins to the beach where you can hire a beach hut for the day £33. Favourite places to eat - The Fisherman’s Wife, The Magpie and a great pub/restaurant and 2 minutes walk to the Granby. Lots to do for families. So much choice with excellent restaurants as well as snacks, ice creams and fish and chip takeaways. Lovely shops down cobbled streets. Boat trips, crabbing, Dracula tour. So much to do regardless of the weather within a 10 minute walk. However, lots of steps may be a problem if you are less mobile. We loved the walk and Whitby is our new favourite holiday place.

Definitely would recommend The Fisherman's Wife fish restaurant. Also the Whitby Ghost Walk is a must - very informative and funny. Don't miss the 199 steps and Whitby Abbey and lastly travel on the North York Moors steam railway.

Flat was excellent. Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable and quiet. Everything was provided for our stay.

Whitby is a lovely town and full of history. Lots of information in local museums. We visited the local museum in Pannett Park and found out lots of information there regarding Whitby. Lovely quaint streets and Whitby Abbey worth visiting. Took the steam train to Pickering which was a lovely nostalgic day out. Lovely promenade and beach area are well worth a visit .

Lovely host, Benita was very friendly and helpful, apartments are Ideally placed, a very short walk to all amenities, sea view, excellent parking 2 minutes from the apartments, never had a problem getting parked and at only £5 per stay which is excellent! Apartments are the best equipped I’ve ever seen, home from feel, just add food. Very happy with our stay and will definitely return to the same apartments

the hosts benita & mike could not do enough for us.we stayed for a mini-moon thurs -sun.on arrival we found some flowers ,a card & bottle of wine waiting for us .looking forward to returning soon .

the duke of york does nice pub grub including 1/2 a lobster !!.emmas diner does great meals & breakfasts .rusty shears -scrambled eggs with bacon a must .abbey & arch micro pub worth a visit .

Perfect welcome, with hosts Benita & Mike carrying most of our luggage, beautiful apartment with more than expected needs, little touches like flowers? Made a lovely impact,very tranquil, couldn't ask for anymore.

With beautiful views of the sea, from apartment is the green where you can ust sit & chill, 5min walk around the corner is the tour bus which takes you onto the Abbey & back show places of interest (very reasonable price) No need to drive as taxis into main centre also very reasonable, would highly recommend the Fishermans Wife Restaurant, Just explore as I found everyone so friendly.

Highly recommend Fayvan Apartments, the location is perfect for Whitby. Just a short walk to shops and the beautiful sandy beach. The apartments are big, clean and plenty of utilities if you fancy stopping in to do a meal. The couple who own the apartments were also so friendly and very helpful.

Grosmont just a 20 drive away, a small village but lovely to look at. Stream train station there and can watch the trains, as well as a little cafe with decor of a train which young children may like. Scarborough is another good place for some shopping. Roughly 37mins drive, again a lovely beach there and plenty of shops and arcades for the kids.

Fantastic apartment. Excellent facilities and hosts, the very best I've been in. For me the stairs were a problem, but a lower room would be fab. No hesitation in recommending Owners were most helpful

Lovely stay great location very spacious rooms with every you need. The living room was really cosy and a great place to relax. I would definitely come back to this excellent accommodation. The owners couldn't of been more friendly and nothing was to much trouble.

Whitby is a lovely place to stay, we walked down to the harbour were there are alot of shops, fish and chip shops and pubs. There is also a supermarket were we brought some food of tea.

Absolutely wonderful accommodation which had everything you could wish for in a self catering apartment and more. We were a group of 2 adults and three children and there was plenty of room. We would definitely come back.

We did the steam railway to Goathland, Endeavour boat trip, Captain Cook museum, 199 steps to abbey, walk round coast beach chalets. Halloween at the abbey, Moon and six pence had lovely food and drinks. Trenchers fish and chips were delicious. We would recommend all of these.
