Good location within easy walking disatnace of the town centre. Plenty of on street parking. You'll need a visitor's parking pass which you can get from the guest house for £5. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice including full English and kippers. The black pudding is one of the best I've ever had! No room service, but that didn't bother me as it meant I didn't have to tidy my things away each day.

We had an excellent stay with Rachel and Andrew. The room was great, spotlessly clean, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners are very helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is perfectly situated for all amenities. It's 5 minutes to the harbour and shop, the esplanade and whale bone arch is at the bottom of the street. Parking permits are available for the length of your stay, costing around £5. Disabled parking is free for the length of your stay, with your badge and disc on display in the "W" zone. Regular parking regulations apply in other areas.

Really pleasant stay, great location. Just be aware if you’re arriving by train and have lots of luggage, you will be walking up hill a bit to get there. Glad I brought my backpack. Check in was super easy. A tip for travellers. If you don’t have a UK number while visiting email them prior to your stay and ask for check in instructions to be sent via email.

You have to visit humble pie for dinner!

Excellent guest house for families with everything you need. Very clean throughout and very comfortable the Staff are lovely and very helpful with anything you need. It is based in a very good location with the town centre 5 minute walk, bars and restaurants and arcades plenty to do for children.

Guesthouse was beautiful, excellent location, very clean, sustained room. Very quiet, owners are lovely and helpful. Bed is amazing and extremely comfortable!! Overall a fabulous place to stay in a beautiful town. You’d be an idiot not to book with Kimberley house. Very highly recommended!!

Visiting the abbey is an absolute must! Join English heritage , as so much cheaper. St Mary’s church is beautiful and explore. Don’t waste any time. Visit as much as you can and explore everything!

A really lovely guesthouse, my daughter and I had a great stay here. The rooms are mice and clean and have mice little bits of decor that make it feel homely. The location was perfect, in a road with lots of other guesthouses that's literally a 5 minute walk from the beautiful harbour and the shops and restaurants.

We didn't have breakfast included but this wasn't a problem at all. We enjoyed our morning walks to the harbour where we bought takeaway breakfasts and sat looking at the lovely scenery. Would highly recommend this guesthouse and next time we would consider booking direct to get the option of breakfast. Thank you Andrew and Rachel for a lovely stay. X

Lovely b&b nice clean rooms, easy to follow instructions sent by text for check in, keys & welcome packs all left out for us, good rates on parking, friendly hosts. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Rooms had all u needed, hair dryer, kettle with tea & coffee, iron & ironing board outside rooms for all to use, great locations for town centre, one to bars restaurants etc, lovely walks all around the area using the cinder trail, we walked to Robin hoods Bay 6.5 miles, then got the bus back for £2 each, train station/bus station nearby too, we didn't have the breakfast but u could order 1 day b4 should u wish to have one.

We had a fabulous 2 night stay at Kimberley House. We arrived slightly earlier than we predicted but it wasn’t a problem for the hosts Rachael and Andrew. The room was ready and it was very clean and tastefully decorated with a seaside theme. We had booked direct bed & breakfast option which is available to guests who book directly and we recommend this option. You chose what you would like the day before and breakfast was served fresh the following morning, it was lovely. There is no daily room service but if there is anything you need you just ask and are were able to replenish from stock left in the hallway. This was not a problem for us, we are very happy to keep the room tidy and use towels for more than one day. It was our first stay in Whitby, we will definitely be returning and will check the availability of Kimberley House first!!!

If you enjoy live music there was lots to choose from in a Saturday night. We ate at a small Thai restaurant situated in Whitby station which we really enjoyed. If you choose to eat outside in the harbour be aware of the naughty seagulls some of which are quite happy to dive for your food.

Never saw Andrew or Rachael but the cleaning staff were very friendly. Location was great and the views of the Abbey in the double room were stunning. However the bed frame in the other twin room broke on the first night. No idea how it happened but just went whilst my husband turned over in bed. He slept on the other day bed for the remained of the night and the following night so it was all fine in the end.

You did see Rachel as we had a 15 min conversation regarding your football team being promoted on Saturday if they beat Whitby Town which they did!! Well done! Disappointed regarding the bed especially as this wasn't mentioned at all even in our conversation. Having said that, we discovered this on your departure and we did fortunately already have 2 new beds on order but had not been delivered. A previous guest had caused the damage and we thought a suitable temporary repair had been implemented but obviously not! We apologise for this. Glad you enjoyed your stay x

We have just come back from a weekend at Kimberly house, and it was amazing. We stayed in the “budget room” which didn’t feel budget at all. It was clean, the bed and pillows were comfy, the bathroom was nice, the breakfast was amazing, and the location was just something else. The owners were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you … We are already planning our next trip back (after speaking to other guests, the are planning to do the same). It’s within walking distance to the Abbey, the views from the street are incredible. There are plenty of shops and pubs a stones throw away. The most simple, carefree process that I've ever experienced from a guest house booking. From start to finish the ease and comfort was first class. My single room was perfect. Quite compact, but excellent use of the limited space. Everything needed was in the room, the finish and decor was lovely. A spacious shower and comfortable bathroom. Plenty of space for clothes and other items. A well stocked tea tray and a very comfortable bed. If staying on this side of the town in future, this will be may accommodation of choice.

If you book a property in this area of the town you will encounter areas of Whitby you may never have seen. So close to the main thoroughfare but a hidden gem.

We had a great stay in the self contained apartment at Kimberley House, whilst visiting for the Whitby Supercar Saturday. The communication from Andrew and Rachel prior to arriving is clear and helpful. The apartment provided a nice, comfortable place to relax after busy days in Whitby, and is well equipped if you don’t want to eat out.

The location is perfect for walking into the centre and only takes a few minutes. We found a number of great places along Skinner Street on our way to the main area, which we’ve never known about in all our visits to Whitby over the years. In particular we loved the fresh bread, current teacakes and cakes from Botham’s bakery and the bacon sandwiches came with the most bacon on that we’ve ever had. There is a good choice of places for breakfast and drinks, we loved the cocktails & cakes at the Jet Black Jewel cafe bar. We’ve walked miles along the beach which is easy to get to from the apartment and well worth looking at as well as the town and you can’t go to Whitby without walking up the 199 steps to the Abbey.

Immaculate room with very comfy bed and beautiful bedding. Quiet location with easy access to town. We didnt have breakfast at the guesthouse,as we had another family member staying elsewhere but it seemed very popular. Rachel was very helpful in helping me with a suitcase problem.

Whitby museum was wonderful. Highly recommend. So much to see and the ticket for only £7 is valid for a year. Hadleys fish and chips just over the bridge was also very good- as was Trenchers.

Plenty of great restaurants around within 5 minutes walk (the fishermans wife the magpie and plenty of great pubs to wash it down.the steps leading up to the abbey is a must not for the faint hearted though

What a great stay at kimberley house,amazing hosts,made us feel very welcome,extremely helpful,a nice relaxed atmosphere. .Andrew does a fabulous breakfast that set us up for the day..guesthouse was very clean,our room (room 4) had everything that you needed,bed was very comfy,no springs poking through what so ever..lovely ensuite to our room..we will definitely be returning on another whitby trip in the future..thank-you Rachel & Andrew for making our stay very enjoyable x

Book direct with kimberley house,you will get a better price while also supporting a small buisness.. Go to the magpie cafe for fish & chips,we had to wait about 15 mins for a table but you can book in advance.. Lovely beach,no dogs allowed on the beach..

Nice well located place run by nice people. An easy and enjoyable stay.

Perfectly located for a short walk to Clara's Ice creams, the Whitby Sands and whalebones one way......and cafés, art and antiques, or just a daily newspaper, the other. You can't go wrong.

Lovely guest house in a quiet area but very close to centre. Very clean and tidy.Lovely breakfast charged at £9 per person. It has to be paid in cash. It is worth the money, plenty of choice.Lots of supply of Tea and Coffee in rooms,plus machine that serves coffee tea and hot choclate during the day for a pound. love the quilts as they are all waahed between use - night owl quilts

Pre order brekkie at £9 (online it makes out its included Must eat at the Magpie! Also lovely italian in town! I would advise booking in advanced as they get busy

Very helpful with the parking and seemed a nice and pleasant couple. Handily placed for short walk to centre of town. Ensuite in room 8 was on the small side but is manageable if you pull everything in.
